Confirm which PPM programme you mean

This guide concerns GAQM’s Professional in Project Management, examination code PPM-001. Similar abbreviations can describe different project and portfolio programmes. Confirm the issuer and exact award before comparing prices or using someone else’s preparation checklist.

GAQM’s current page makes its e-course completion mandatory for this route. Buying an examination voucher and completing the required learning are separate steps in your plan. Ask for confirmation of both entitlements if a provider offers a bundle.

Read the current examination conditions

The current GAQM page describes 150 multiple-choice questions, a 120-minute examination and a 70% passing requirement. It states that the voucher includes two attempts and has an eight-month validity. Confirm these terms at purchase because product conditions can change.

The page also distinguishes course access from voucher validity and gives a five-year certification validity with renewal conditions. Record each deadline separately. An online delivery option does not remove the required course or the candidate’s own assessment responsibilities.

Turn the course into a complete project case

Use a small office relocation as a preparation case. Define the desired outcome, what is inside the project and what remains operational work. Identify the sponsor, users, suppliers and the person authorised to accept the result.

Write a one-page brief with scope boundaries, assumptions and success measures. If the organisation must remain available during the move, include that constraint early. A study case becomes useful when decisions respond to a stated situation rather than remain a list of project-management terms.

Practise planning, risk and change decisions

Break the relocation into deliverables and dependencies. Identify which tasks must finish before others can begin, which resources are constrained and where an estimate has substantial uncertainty. Explain how a delay would affect the rest of the plan.

Introduce a change request for additional equipment. Record its benefit, cost, schedule effect and approval route. Compare accepting it now, deferring it and rejecting it. Use the case to practise a decision process rather than treating every change as automatically good or automatically disruptive.

Connect communication, quality and handover

Prepare different messages for the sponsor, affected staff and supplier. Each audience needs a clear decision or action, not the same full report. Identify when an issue needs escalation and what supporting evidence should accompany it.

Define acceptance checks before handover. For the move, verify that the essential workstations, connectivity and support arrangements function. Record unresolved items, ownership and the date for review. This connects project completion with a usable operational result.

Build a readiness and purchase checklist

Review the current syllabus against your case. For every area, explain one decision you made, the information you used and an alternative you considered. Use authorised practice to identify gaps and revise your explanations before selecting a date.

Confirm mandatory course completion, remaining access time, voucher expiry, attempt entitlement, identification and proctoring requirements. Keep the receipt and issuer account details. A promise of fast certification should never replace these concrete checks or be treated as a guaranteed result.
